Nick Smith & Niloo Sharifi
When we had to close Nick Smith's show in November due to local lockdown restrictions in Liverpool in 2020, Smith asked to collaborate with a local writer. We invited Niloo Sharifi to visit the closed show and write a response. After sharing her writing, which took into consideration Smith's exhibition where he reflected on his youth growing up in Merseyside from 1974-1996 - a turbulent period for the region, Smith responded back to her text with images and video and brought their work together in this short film. We originally premiered the film on IGTV but now the gallery was able to open again, we are projecting it in the space for visitors to enjoy in a new setting.

The exhibition is open 11am-5pm, Thursday-Sunday until June 6th. There are beanbags and plastic seating in the space, which will be cleaned regularly. If there is a group in the space, you may be asked to wait for them to exit.
